THE 100 SERIES by kass morgan

I started reading the 100 series by Kass Morgan mainly because of how obsessed I am with the TV show (which you should ABSOLUTELY watch if you dont already its amazing and one of my favorite shows!). And i'm sad to say I was kinda disappointed in what I read. The premise of the books and show is that, in the future, after a nuclear war everything on earth was wiped out and the surface soaked in radiation and the only survivors were communities of people in space living in their counties satalite all of which joined together and formed the arc, 97 years after that our  heroine  Clarke Griffin joins 99 other previously detained young offenders to form the 100 and are put on a ship and sent to earth to see if its habitable for the others to come down. While there they must work together to survive and protect themselves against the perils of the groud and in some cases each other.
Please forgive me if i made that sound awful, i'm really bad at explaining things so you should just multiply my explanation by 100 () coolness and then go watch the show.
Anyway back to the book....right I dont know if its just because im so used to how things are in the show or what but the books didn't do it for me. I thought there were way too many povs, for a book that size one or two would have been enough  but theres like 4 different characters telling there stories (Clarke, Bellamy, Wells and Glass) and if I hadnt watched the TV series and knew 3 of them already ( Clarke, Bellamy and Wells) it definitely wouldn't have been enough time to understand and connect with each character individually, which I found sad as even the characters I already knew were slightly different in the books, with some of the differences in the storylines being extremely shocking!, than they were when portrayed on TV.
Secondly, and I know for a fact this is because of the TV show, I hated the character Glass and her part in the book. You see this character "Glass" and her storyline doesn't exist in the TV series and so i found myself getting annoyed everytime her chapters came up and eventually started skipping them all together as I felt they were a waste and were taking precious time and room away from the characters and storyline I already knew and loved. And yes I get that this is no fault of the author or anything and its completely of my own doing for watching the series before reading the books but I can't help it its just the way I feel. Sorry.
On to something good now, I was extremely pleasantly surprised to find that in the books BELLARKE (Bellamy and Clarke) my otp and the best ship that ever existed (though clexa fans may disagree) is an actual thing! There cannon in the books from kind of early in were as in the show, coming up to its 3rd season,  hasn't happened yet, its an agonisingly slow yet rewarding process to eventually getting there and filled with feels along the way which makes up for it. So if, like me, you couldn't possibly wait for the 3rd seasom mid 2016 for your next hit of bellarke read the books! The writing is good as are the characters and apart from the previously mentioned things there is nothing stopping you from enjoying this good series of books, TV show fan or not .
